The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SSAG is hiring now for a full-time, senior-level Operations Research Analyst in Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will participate in project teams to:

  • Lead and support analysis of the performance of DoD programs and systems, with emphasis on NC3 mission effectiveness, resilience, and operational readiness.

  • Conduct data collection, specification reviews, and validation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of NC3-related datasets.

  • Develop and maintain system-of-systems models and simulations of NC3 architectures using commercial and proprietary MBSE tools, integrating operational, technical, and mission-level perspectives.

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of NC3 capabilities, including scenario-based assessments, risk analysis, and trade-off studies.

  • Assist in the preparation of deliverables, including technical reports, presentations, and recommendations that communicate findings to senior stakeholders.

  • Participate in customer meetings and briefings, providing subject matter expertise in NC3 modeling, simulation, and analysis.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • Ability to work full-time at Offutt AFB in Nebraska.
  • Active or transferable TS/SCI clearance, or be fully eligible to obtain TS/SCI access on day one of employment.  Must maintain TS/SCI clearance and eligibility throughout the duration of employment. Clearance sponsorship will be administered by the Department of War (DoW) for duty performed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in operations research, systems engineering, or modeling and simulation, with demonstrated expertise in system-of-systems analysis.
  • Experience with Models Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Experience in analysis of complex Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) system-of-systems designs, including mission-level modeling and operational assessments.
  • Experience with defense acquisition, Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE), and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes.
  • Experience in Department of Defense / War (DoD/DoW) wargaming, experimentation, and exercises.
