Key Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, and supporting hardware for semiconductor equipment
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Assist in translating system and product requirements into mechanical design solutions
  • Perform basic engineering analyses, including tolerance stack-ups, thermal, and structural, with guidance from senior engineers
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and design verification activities
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data to evaluate design performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities and root cause investigations for design and system-level issues
  • Collaborate with electrical, controls, manufacturing, sourcing, and service teams to support product development efforts
  • Assist with engineering change notices, design reviews, and product release activities
  • Ensure designs meet quality, safety, manufacturability, and reliability requirements
  • Communicate technical information clearly through reports, presentations, and team discussions

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 0-3 years of mechanical engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (Creo preferred, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including statics, dynamics, materials, and machine design
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or project experience involving product design or electromechanical systems
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes and assembly methods
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools or FEA software
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing and data analysis
