Degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Degree


This is a Full-Time, Year-Round position

Child Focus Early Childhood program is seeking a full time Head Start Preschool Teacher 

The lead teacher is responsible for providing a learning experience that accommodates children's needs and stimulates learning across all domains of development including lesson planning, screening and curriculum implementation.  The lead teacher also works with the assistant teachers to ensure children's basic needs are met and that the daily routine runs smoothly. The lead teacher establishes a partnership with families, and helps the families set and meet goals for their children and themselves. 


Primary Job Responsibilities:  

Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment, including full supervision of children at all times, in accordance with childcare licensing requirements. Provide classroom experiences that are developmentally, linguistically, culturally and age-appropriate for the children served. Ensure classroom arrangement, materials and displays are organized and conducive to children's learning. Document children's progress through ongoing observation and direct assessment activities; use that data to plan and individualize curriculum.
