Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: July 1, 2026 through October 30, 2026

Schedule: Flexible schedule including select evenings and weekends for events and activations

Position Overview

Mural Arts Philadelphia is seeking a highly organized, creative, and community-minded Event Production & Brand Partnership Intern to support the planning, coordination, and execution of public programs, cultural events, and partnership activations across the city of Philadelphia. This internship is ideal for students interested in event production, experiential marketing, hospitality, arts administration, community engagement, and brand partnerships.

Interns will gain hands-on experience working behind the scenes on large-scale public events, artist activations, community programming, and partnership campaigns while learning the day-to-day operations of one of the nation’s leading public art organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination & Logistics
  • Assist with event planning, setup, execution, and breakdown for public programs, mural dedications, community events, and special activations.
  • Support attendee management including registration, RSVPs, checkin, name tags, and guest communications.
  • Prepare event materials, signage, vendor packets, and hospitality items.
  • Conduct vendor and venue research and assist with logistical coordination.

  • Provide onsite support including troubleshooting, guest experience management, and event flow coordination.
  • Serve as a Mural Arts brand ambassador during tabling events, festivals, and community activations.
  • Brand Partnerships & Outreach
  • Research and identify potential corporate, nonprofit, community, influencer, and media partners.
  • Build and maintain outreach trackers and partnership databases.
  • Assist with drafting partnership decks, sponsorship proposals, onesheets, and sales narratives.
  • Support partnership activations including product launches, sponsored experiences, digital collaborations, and promotional campaigns.
  • Volunteer research and recruitment.
  • Marketing & Promotion
  • Help coordinate inventory of branded collateral and promotional materials.
  • Be a representative of Mural Arts Philadelphia, sharing the organization’s mission and programmatic info at public events.
  • Distribute promotional collateral.
  • Reporting & Administrative Support
  • Track campaign and event metrics including attendance, engagement, reach, and partnership deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing recap reports and endofevent summaries.
  • Maintain organized records, databases, and internal communication systems.
  • Support general administrative tasks related to event and partnership coordination.
  • Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program eligible for internship credit.
  • Interest in event production, marketing, hospitality, arts & culture, public programming, or partnership development.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in fastpaced environments.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with artists, community members, vendors, sponsors, and city partners.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, social media platforms, or event management tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
