  • Perform field inspections and documentation of project progress
  • Maintain project records including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and meeting notes
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support project execution
  • Assist with material tracking, equipment coordination, and procurement activities
  • Monitor quantities, production rates, and project progress
  • Help identify and communicate potential project issues and solutions
  • Participate in project scheduling and cost tracking efforts
  • Support quality control and ensure work is performed according to project requirements
  • Promote and uphold company safety standards and practices
  • Participate in project closeout and turnover activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project success

Position Requirements
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required or expected to be completed before start date
  • 0 to 2 years of construction, engineering, internship, or related experience
  • Strong interest in heavy civil construction and field operations
  • Basic understanding of construction plans and specifications preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed

Why Join Harper Brothers Construction?
  • Launch your career with a growing heavy civil contractor
  • Gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced construction professionals
  • Develop technical, operational, and leadership skills
  • Exposure to diverse infrastructure projects across multiple states
  • Clear opportunities for career advancement and professional development
  • Supportive team environment focused on learning and growth
  • Competitive benefits package including PTO, paid holidays, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and more
