Job Description: L3Harris is currently seeking to hire a Logistics L1 as a SkillBridge Intern. The candidate will be responsible for specialized tasks in one or more of the following engineering disciplines:

This position supports the program depot and shipment operations. Partners with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the logistics priorities.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct asset visibility, and obsolescence mitigation for program system sustainment material
  • Manage a secure facility that focuses on operations with support equipment and security measures in place to reduce costs to the customer and enable the program to operate efficiently
  • Interface daily with Integrated Product Team Lead, Depot and PHS&T manager
  • Continuously look for and implement mechanisms to reduce and streamline the logistics footprint within the Proprietary business segment
  • Manage assets and request calibration/repair services
  • Develop a strategy for tracking program assets and spare parts often integrated to maximize efficiency
  • Performed asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property
  • Identify, plan, resource, and acquire packaging/preservation, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T) requirements to maximize availability and usability of the materiel to include support items whenever they are needed for training or mission
  • Monitor and track the shipment of repairable products needing maintenance to and from customer sites, the depot, and possibly OEMs
  • Monitor and track the movement of supplies from the stockroom to operational support in the field
  • Develop and manage depot/logistics metrics and KPIs
  • Generate various reports for distribution to Lab Managers, Lab Custodians, and Quality Assurance
  • Support an efficient PHS&T system which introduces minimal organizational delay time or errors, and results in material shipments at the "right place at the right time", thus improving system availability and lowering overall life cycle cost
  • Determine packaging and provisioning requirements for PHS&T support of assigned systems and spare parts
  • Apply knowledge of PHS&T policies and procedures to manage a system's life cycle support requirements
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Qualifications:ย 

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Asset Management tools
  • Experience in fast paced continuous change integration environment.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with business development, program management personnel and external customers.
  • Familiarity with hardware and system level documentation including mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Visio, and Word.
