National Network Services (NNS) is seeking a skilled
Level II Data Cabling Technician to support our structured cabling projects. You will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned tasks and projects while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This role requires advanced knowledge of structured cabling systems, pathway construction, cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will be capable of leading small crews, mentoring junior technicians, and communicating effectively with team members, project managers, and customers.

General Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening if required
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
- Comfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and construction environments
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended period
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Willingness to travel to job sites and occasionally work overtime as project schedules require
What You'll Do
Structured Cabling Installation
- Install, route, support, and terminate structured cabling systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Layout and install pathways, racks, ladder rack systems, backboards, sleeves, and related infrastructure
- Identify fire-rated walls and ensure proper installation methods are followed
- Install firestop systems in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements
Pathway Construction
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of:
- J-Hooks
- Ladder Rack Systems
- Cable Tray and Flex Tray Systems
- Anchor Selection
- Ceiling and Beam Types
- Sleeve Installation
- Firestop Installation
Cable Termination & Testing
- Terminate copper cabling on:
- 110 Blocks
- Patch Panels
- BIX Blocks
- Krone/ADC Blocks
- Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard test equipment
- Set up and operate copper certification and testing equipment
- Maintain quality standards for cable installation and terminations
Leadership & Training
- Lead small crews on assigned projects and tasks
- Ensure safety, production, and quality goals are achieved
- Train and mentor Level I Technicians to support their professional growth and advancement
- Follow direction from Lead Technicians and Project Managers while contributing to team success
Communication & Documentation
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and technicians
- Provide verbal and written updates regarding project progress and field conditions
- Maintain organized jobsite documentation and inventory as required
What You'll Bring
Required
- Demonstrated competency in all Level I Technician responsibilities
- Wyoming Low Voltage License (required)
- Experience in structured cabling installation within commercial construction environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of pathway construction and cable support systems
- Experience with copper cable termination and testing
- Ability to lead small crews and manage assigned tasks independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred
- Industry certifications related to structured cabling or low-voltage systems
- Experience with large-scale commercial projects, educational facilities, healthcare, or data center environments
Additional Requirements
- Must possess and maintain the tools required for the position
- Reliable vehicle capable of transporting materials and ladders up to 8 feet in length between jobsites
- Ability to lift, carry, and install cabling materials and equipment
- Ability to work on active construction sites and in various environmental conditions
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing
