What you will do:
As a Staff Network Administrator, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Electra's network and systems infrastructure. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in Azure Entra, M365, networking, systems administration, infrastructure automation, and proficiency in public and private cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and HCI Platforms.
Responsibilities include:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and wireless networks
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues promptly
  • Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backup solutions
  • Manage Azure Entra, ensuring seamless integration, optimization, and adherence to best practices
  • Implement and manage public and private cloud-based solutions, including HCI Platforms, AWS, and Azure, leveraging Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering; automate system administration tasks using scripting languages and configuration management tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement IT projects and initiatives
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing best practices
  • Document network and system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

What we need you to bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 12+ years of progressive industry experience in networking and systems administration, or 8+ years with a master's degree, or 5+ years with a PhD (excluding internships, co-ops, or other school projects)
  • Recognized technical expert in enterprise networking and systems administration with demonstrated ability to solve highly complex infrastructure and technology challenges
  • Expert knowledge of networking architecture, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and network security principles
  • Advanced expertise designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure utilizing platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, and Ubiquiti
  • Deep expertise administering and optimizing Windows Server and Linux environments within complex enterprise infrastructures
  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization platforms, including VMware and Hyper-V, with experience designing scalable, highly available environments
  • Expert-level proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud services, including architecture, migration, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and hybrid cloud environments
  • Advanced scripting and automation capabilities using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex technical problems, develop innovative solutions, and make sound architectural decisions with broad organizational impact
  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership, share expertise, and influence technical direction across cross-functional teams without direct supervisory responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to influence infrastructure strategy, drive cross-functional initiatives, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex infrastructure and systems issues
  • Ability to operate independently with significant latitude in determining technical approaches, priorities, and solutions
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint

Compensation:
  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $135,000-$175,000.Compensation will vary based on experience and qualifications, with offers determined by skills, experience, and overall alignment with the role. The top of the salary range is usually reserved for candidates with highly specialized expertise and extensive relevant experience.
