Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The selected intern works with The International Center’s Development and Engagement Manager and will be involved in the process of creating The Center’s yearly Impact Report and assisting with research on potential sponsors and grant opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Development Manager and Marketing team in creating reports, grant applications, and solicitation messages. This includes gathering data and writing compelling narratives to highlight the mission and impact of the organization.
  • Support grant writing and fundraising efforts, including researching funding opportunities, drafting proposals, and managing donor relations.
  • Manage and maintain a database of community members, sponsors, and stakeholders using Neon CRM.
  • Support development efforts, including philanthropy, fundraising, donor engagement, and event coordination.
  • Assist with event planning, especially for the Annual Meeting and International Citizen of the Year, including coordinating with vendors, managing seating arrangements, and providing day-of event support.
  • Oversee the design and production of collateral materials, such as save-the-date announcements, PowerPoints, invitations, signage, event programs, and sponsor recognition materials.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to promote events through media outreach and social media campaigns.
  • Attend select community events as a representative of The International Center 
  • Provide input and take notes during regularly scheduled organizing committee meetings.

PAY & SCHEDULE
  • $15/hour, plus $80 monthly parking stipend
  • The Center’s office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
  • Interns work an average of 20 hours per week during the fall and spring terms, and an average of 30 hours per week during the summer term
  • Hybrid work possible, based on project needs and availability
