Job description

Role Descriptions & Responsibilities
As an intern in the NAM Industry Process Consultant team, you will work with lead engineers in modeling real-world fluid problems in various industries. Such problems include engine cooling, external aerodynamics, splash and spray, air-intake systems, etc. You will gain extensive experience with commercial CFD pre & post-processing software and directly support projects through analysis, visualization and communication of CFD simulation results. You will also have the opportunity to research specific client problems and present to Industry Process Consultant team.
As an Industry Process Consultant Intern you will:
  • Assist lead engineers in modeling real-world fluids problems across multiple industries including engine cooling, external aerodynamics, splash and spray, air-intake systems, etc.
  • Gain extensive experience with commercial CFD pre & post-processing software
  • Develop new design concepts/parts based on analysis of simulation results
  • Generate advanced visualization of client results
  • Research specific client problems and present to Industry Process Consultant team

Qualifications
  • Actively enrolled in Maters of Science or Doctorial program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with emphasis on Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Course/lab experience using CAE Tools
  • Strong interest and solid knowledge of fluid dynamic fundamentals
  • Script programming (Python) and experience with complex graphics tools
  • Strong desire for continuous learning
  • English written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/multiple projects simultaneously
    This is a 6 month paid internship is based at the DASSAULT SYSTEMES Royal Oak office, located at 118 N. Main Street, Suite 200, Royal Oak, MI, 48067 starting Summer 2026. You will be expected to follow a hybrid work model.

Salary Pay Transparency
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $22 and $40 per hour.
