Job description

Senior Mechanical Engineer, PE - San Leandro, CA Responsibilities: Coordinating with engineers, architects, and other disciples. Provide engineering depth and support/value to other divisions. Communicating and attending meetings and field surveys required during design, as well as participating in formal engineering training of company personnel and provide specific direction of on the job training for design engineers, drafters and interns.

Advise building owners on cost effective solutions when cost effective solutions arise. Maintain and build relationships with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors and vendors. Assume responsibility for managing and maintaining schedule and time control system, budget, and monitor work activity/budget to ensure execution supports compliance with established criteria and specifications.

Create, prepare and deliver professional recommendations, designs, reports, and results to clients and teams. Requirements: 10+ years in HVAC and/or Plumbing design. Directive leadership skills to assure quality standards are met.

Excellent written and verbal communication, organized, and strong problem solving skills. Strong software knowledge; Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD 2012+, Navisworks, Revit, IES, EnergyPlus, EnergyPro, eQuest, and Enterprise. Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Strong analytical and research skills.
