The DRAM Device Engineering team works on innovative technologies that enable next-generation DRAM products, improve manufacturing yield, and support delivery of high-quality memory solutions to customers.
As a DRAM Device Engineering Intern, you will work with an industry-leading team in a manufacturing fab environment to support device performance, reliability, characterization, and yield improvement. You will analyze electrical test results, develop data automation methods, and collaborate with teams across data engineering, process integration, process development, product engineering, product design, quality assurance, and failure analysis. This role provides hands-on experience with semiconductor device engineering, production ramp, and advanced data-driven problem solving.
Responsibilities
  • Support next-generation DRAM development in the manufacturing fab by analyzing device performance, yield, and reliability data.
  • Analyze electrical test results and provide feedback to Process Integration teams to define actions based on data-driven learning.
  • Drive improvements in device performance and reliability by proposing, supporting, or delivering Design of Experiments (DOE) on silicon.
  • Perform device characterization and deep-dive analysis to understand performance, reliability, and production-line issues.
  • Leverage AI-Enabled tools, Applying AI, or data automation methods to improve problem-solving efficiency, productivity, data analysis, and technical decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
  • Understanding of semiconductor device characterization, electrical test data analysis, or device performance evaluation.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis methods or tools such as JMP, Python, MATLAB, R, or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical results to engineering teams and larger audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of mainstream memory technologies such as DRAM, NAND, NOR, or related semiconductor memory architectures.
  • Understanding of CMOS operation, circuit behavior, or semiconductor memory product architecture.
  • Experience working with semiconductor manufacturing, product ramp, yield improvement, or reliability engineering.
  • Experience Using AI, Leveraging AI, AI Assisted tools, or data science methods to improve engineering workflows, automate analysis, or support device problem solving.
  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to collaborate across process integration, product engineering, design, quality, failure analysis, and data engineering teams.
