Job description

At CMD MedTech, we believe strong relationships are just as important as strong technical skills. We’re a growing medical device engineering and regulatory consulting firm helping companies bring innovative, life-changing medical devices to market. Our team thrives on trust, flexibility, and follow-through.

We’re hiring a mid-level Systems Engineer with 5-10 years of relevant experience who’s a natural collaborator, a clear communicator, and a hands-on leader with a reputation for getting things done. You should be as comfortable leading a big design review as you are writing a safety risk management plan or authoring system requirements. Most of all, you should value openness, teamwork, and doing the right thing—even when it’s not the easiest path.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support medical device development and regulatory projects
  • Generate and review deliverables like requirements, risk assessments, regulatory strategies, or verification protocols
  • Facilitate team discussions and keep work aligned with scope and schedule
  • Build trust with clients and teammates through clear communication
  • Contribute to CMD’s collaborative, values-first culture

What You Bring

  • 5–10 years of medical device regulatory and product development experience
  • Bachelor’s in engineering (biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or similar)
  • Strong leadership, follow-through, and people skills
  • Comfort switching between detail work and high-level planning
  • Columbus-based and able to work hybrid with occasional travel (<25%)

Why CMD?

  • Real-world patient and caregiver impact
  • A team that values growth, integrity, and collaboration
  • Supportive environment to learn, take ownership, and stretch your skills
  • Competitive salary + 401(k) + bonus, health, life, PTO, and more
