Position Summary Arcadis|DPS Group Advanced Technology Group is seeking an experienced licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our growing A/E design team in Arizona. In this role you will be responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's needs.

Successful candidates will have 10+ years' experience designing and overseeing projects for mechanical/plumbing/fire protection building systems, work with multi-disciplined design teams, project managers, and construction management personnel. Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure in the state of Ohio is required. Proven success working for A/E or EPCM consultancy companies in a similar role, supporting projects related to cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fab, data center, solar manufacturing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable

This is not a remote position and will require the selected individual to live local and in commutable distance to the Arcadis|DPS Group Advanced Technology Group office and client site. Relocation within the United States may be available for selected candidate. Key Responsibilities Work directly with engineers and designers to lead mechanical/plumbing/fire protection design and coordinate with other disciplines.

Identifying deliverables, defining requirements, creating design drawings (Revit + AutoCAD). Analyze heating & cooling loads (Trace 3D or similar). Create Airflow, Utility Flow, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.

Size ductwork and piping along with perform pressure drop calculations for various systems. Conduct field surveys of existing facilities to gather design data, measurements, and documents for design. Prepare contract documentation, including drawings and specifications, which conform to industry standards, guidelines, and regulatory agencies.

Review equipment and material shop drawings for compliance with contract documents. Help develop and mentor junior staff engineers and designers. Produce and check complex design drawings in accordance with project requirements, codes, specifications, and procedures.

Analysis and optimize system design. Provide strong interdisciplinary communication. Safety oriented both in office, during travel, and on project sites.

Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, with 10+ years' design / consulting experience. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required

Demonstrated proficiency in developing sequences of operations, analysis of heating and cooling loads, creation of airflow, utility flow, and P&ID's. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English), along with attention to detail and organization. Ability to present before an audience of clients and stakeholders.

Willingness to provide guidance and mentorship to more junior level professionals. Ability to take ownership and lead assignments, work both independently and as part of the team, supporting multiple projects at a time. Software proficiencies should include MS Office Suite, MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks Bluebeam, Trane Trace / Carrier HAP or similar.

Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Previous experience supporting industrial facilities projects is preferred. Local candidates preferred.
