Department Overview

Engineering Services supports the Pre-Sales and After-Sales business components of MBUSA and various quality organizations within Mercedes-Benz AG. The Engineering Services team is dedicated to providing exemplary customer service, with a high focus on technical support and quality. Our customers are varied from the Mercedes-Benz dealers, consumers, MBUSA, Mercedes-Benz AG, and external providers such as Independent Service Providers, Suppliers, and Governmental Agencies (NHTSA, EPA, CARB, DOJ).

Mercedes-Benz USA Product Technical Services Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) Overview and Responsibilities
 
The JAC will be embedded within the Product Technical Support (PTS) team and interface with the engineers. Here the JAC will assist with fleet management, servicing vehicles, and investigating root cause analysis with PTS engineers. 
 
 
Primary responsibilities of the JAC:
  • Assisting the MBUSA product technical support service engineers in identifying, tracking, and resolving issues in the Mercedes-Benz model lines sold and serviced in the US (NAFTA) market
  • Participating in component level tear down and root cause analysis
  • Interfacing with the other business units of MBUSA on PTS's behalf in conjunction with the engineers in order to support our dealers and products 
  • PDI new fleet vehicles
  • Maintain current test and buy back fleets

Required Qualifications:

  • Students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Master's program or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to internship start date.
  • Available from September 2026 to February 2026
  • 28 hours maximum per week
  • Proof of Proficiency (Portfolio, Recommendation Letters, etc.)
  • Automotive dealership experience

Preferred Skillset:

  • Proof of Proficiency (Portfolio, Recommendation Letters, etc.)

  • Working level aptitude with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong technical mindset, automotive based diagnostics experience preferred
  • PowerBi and experience constructing and editing dashboards

  • Database and data management skills, reporting, and interpretation

  • Strong oral and written communication skills specifically with respect to technical writing
