Job description

Engineering Internship

IERUS specializes in technologies and design for Weapon Systems, Analytical Computing, and electromagnetics (RF, IR, and Optical) applications. IERUS also supports customers with a diverse set of competencies including software development, air and missile defense, and systems engineering. IERUS develops value for our defense and commercial customers through accelerations of the technology life cycle: identifying, creating, transitioning, and producing technologies with integrity of purpose and product.

We are currently seeking year-round engineering interns to work at our Huntsville, AL location. We are accepting applications for graduate and undergraduate students. Our internships offer experience in many areas and we work to cross-train as much as possible to provide a diverse set of exposures to Radar Systems, Aerospace Systems, Avionics, Modeling and Simulation, Antenna Design and Analysis, Software Development and more.

In this role you will be expected to perform many different engineering tasks such as Lab Prototyping & Testing with different types of hardware and test software, documenting test results & ensuring compliance with defense industry standards applicable with any future DoD career, designing fixtures, and various other project engineering tasks. You will learn the process of DoD contracts and help execute ongoing programs in various stages of the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Currently enrolled in college and obtaining a Bachelor or Master of Science in:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Systems Engineering

    • Physics

    • Another related science/technical field
