JOB SUMMARY:

The Department ofPoliticalScience at SVSU seeks part-time instructors for fall semester 2026 and winter semester 2027 to teach introductory courses in Political Science, the American Political System, and World Politics. The expectation is for in-person, on-campus teaching and the ability to teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree inpoliticalscience, law, or public administration.
  • Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College-level teaching experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions.
  • All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.
