Job description

Stafford USD 349 is looking for people who love kids and want a fulfilling job on our Trojan Nation campus as paraprofessional.  Grade levels needed range from Preschool (PK) through Middle School (6-7-8th).  We have great supervising and classroom teachers who are hopeful for new candidates to work with our students!  This job is about helping students one-on-one or in small groups with the support of a teacher.  Skills often utilized are keeping students on task, helping students organize, breaking down steps for comprehension or math problem solving, and building trusting relationships to encourage adolescents.  Patience, flexibility, and a good sense of humor are helpful.
Paraprofessionals assist a special education professional with the instruction of exceptional students and helps provide a wider range of educational opportunities within the instructional setting. An instructional paraeducator is a member of an instructional team and is directly involved with teaching exceptional students in multiple educational environments. Duties include working with special need students in regular educational or resource room locations.
