Job description

Huntington Learning Center Harrisburg is hiring a Part-Time Math Tutor / Academic Tutor to provide individualized 1:1 instruction to K–12 students. This role focuses on math instruction, academic intervention, homework support, and standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT math).

This is an ideal opportunity for educators, college graduates, STEM professionals, aspiring teachers, and individuals seeking part-time education jobs in Harrisburg.

No lesson planning. No grading. Curriculum and training are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 math tutoring (Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre‐Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre‐Calculus, Calculus)
• Deliver academic support and skill remediation
• Assist with homework help and concept reinforcement
• Support SAT/ACT math test preparation
• Monitor student progress and maintain instructional quality standards
• Build student confidence and measurable academic improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Math, Education, Science, Engineering, or related field preferred)
• Strong knowledge of K–12 math curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, dependable, and student-centered
• Prior tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or coaching experience preferred (not required)
