Job description

Covenant Christian Academy offers a Christian and Classical education that builds students’ academic, spiritual, and social foundations for lives marked by leadership and service in today’s global community. A Covenant education prepares students to excel in collegiate studies and intellectual pursuits, nurtures Christian faith and character, and fosters individual gifts and abilities.


Covenant Christian Academy is seeking a qualified secondary school professional for a full-time position as a Rhetoric School Mathematics Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Teaching responsibilities will include a combination of courses that could include Geometry, Algebra II, PreCalculus or AP Calculus. These courses serve students in grades 9-12.

This is a unique opportunity to teach motivated students in a close-knit school community while helping shape and grow a strong Upper School math program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of classroom experience preferred
  • Experience in a Classical school setting is a plus

The ideal candidate integrates faith and learning in a natural way, communicates effectively with parents, embraces the Classical model of liberal arts education, and enjoys helping students reach high standards. A CCA teacher also engages with students beyond the classroom through co-curricular involvement to support student growth and community.

A full-time Upper School faculty position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach math courses as assigned
  • Collaborate with other math and science teachers on curriculum alignment, grading practices, and program development for the advancement of math and science at CCA
  • Provide extra help to students through scheduled support time
  • Participate in weekly Upper School faculty meetings
  • Serve as an advisor to a group of students in grades 9-12, including weekly group meetings and a willingness be an advocate for these students as needed
  • Attend school events as needed (Back to School Night, Admissions Events and other community events)
  • Serve as a Christian role model, supporting students in both faith and character

Candidates must be willing to sign CCA’s Statement of Faith and Core Values.

Contract runs: late-August 2026 through June 2027; teaching is on a 10 month cycle.
This is a 10-month position with opportunities to earn additional income through summer programming and after-school programs and/or individual tutoring during the school year.

Compensation: $45,000–$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Most candidates can expect to fall within the $45,000–$58,000 range based on experience and qualifications, with the upper end reserved for candidates with significant prior experience and/or advanced credentials.
