Passionate educators who align with The Oak's mission play a vital role in shaping both the hearts and minds of young learners.


The Enrichment Camp lead teacher is responsible for leading a classroom of elementary-aged campers in a summer enrichment setting. Lead teachers plan and facilitate engaging morning learning blocks connected to weekly themes, support campers, and help create a safe, structured, and joyful camp experience; June through July (6 weeks of camp - plus training and prep; full days).



Responsibilities

  • Facilitate morning academic and creative learning blocks integrating reading, math, and science lessons from a pre-developed curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment with clear expectations and routines based upon core values of The Oaks Academy
  • Supervise students throughout the day, including transitions, lunch, and scheduled activities
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and camp staff to support daily programming
  • Communicate student needs and concerns with camp leadership
  • Follow all camp policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; education degree or teaching license preferred
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or camp setting
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Flexible, energetic, and enthusiastic about summer enrichment programming
  • Available June and July 2026 - June 8-12, 15-18, 22-26, July 6-10, 13-17, and 20-24
