All employees, including the **Media & Engagement Manager,** are expected to model and promote the organization's mission and values in every aspect of their work.**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities*** Develop and execute strategic communications, marketing, and public relations initiatives that strengthen organizational visibility, brand recognition, and community engagement.* Create, manage, and distribute high-quality content across multiple platforms, including social media, print media, broadcast media, press releases, newsletters, website updates, email campaigns, and promotional materials.* Lead media relations efforts by drafting press releases, coordinating media outreach, cultivating relationships with media contacts, and identifying opportunities to increase positive media coverage and public awareness.* Manage the organization's social media presence by developing content strategies, monitoring engagement trends, increasing audience growth, and maintaining a consistent brand voice across all channels.* Maintain and update website content to ensure messaging remains current, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns.* Support organizational campaigns, fundraising initiatives, special events, and community engagement efforts through strategic promotion, storytelling, and audience-focused communications.* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather impactful stories, program updates, testimonials, and content that highlight organizational impact and mission-driven work.* Monitor communications and marketing analytics, media coverage, and engagement metrics to evaluate effectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.* Represent the organization professionally during community events, media opportunities, and stakeholder engagement activities, including occasional evening and weekend support throughout the Metro Atlanta area.* Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**Education, Certifications & Experience Requirement*** Minimum of 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing, public relations, media relations, digital engagement or related field. (internships or entry-level roles included)* Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic internal and external communication plans that align with organizational priorities and strengthen brand awareness.* Exceptional written, verbal, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.* Experience creating compelling content for print, digital, social media, email marketing, websites, newsletters, presentations, and other communication channels.* Proficiency managing websites, email marketing platforms, social media channels, and content### management systems; experience with Canva, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms is preferred. Familiarity with website building, email marketing, social media platforms and content management systems (i.e. Canva, Mailchimp, Squarespace preferred)* Experience managing organizational websites, email marketing platforms, social media channels, and content management systems (experience with Canva, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms preferred).* Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, audience engagement, and analytics, with the ability to use data and reporting tools to measure communication effectiveness and guide future initiatives.* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments, community partners, vendors, media representatives, and external stakeholders.* Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and represent the organization professionally.* Must possess a valid driver's license, insurance and meet company driving standards### **Supervisory Responsibilities**This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over other employees but may be responsible for managing relationships with third-party contractors.**Work Environment & Physical Demands*** Moderate noise level typical of office or program setting.* Physical demands: lifting, standing, walking, bending, etc.* Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**Travel Required**This position requires occasional travel throughout Metro Atlanta for evening and weekend events and community engagement activities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
