Job description

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for designing and implementing common contract logistics processes and driving continuous performance improvement.
  • Provide engineering support for new and/or expanding business implementations.
  • Support multifaceted operations and have a detailed understanding of client needs.
  • Contribute to the overall facility layout and design as well as determine appropriate equipment to support the concept of operational use.
  • Lead & manage any necessary vendors, as they execute the physical implementation of the solution.
  • Maintain financial and engineering metrics that will meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Provide guidance and training to interns/Co-ops.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) environment.
  • Prior leadership positions directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Power BI.
  • Insight into a Warehouse Management Systems allowing for understanding of system capabilities.
  • AutoCAD.
  • Lean methodologies.
  • Six Sigma tools.
  • Knowledge of various storage methodologies as well as material handling equipment.
