Internship Laundry information

What is an internship laundry?

Internship Laundry jobs typically involve assisting with the washing, drying, folding, and organizing of linens and garments in a laundry facility or hospitality environment. Interns may learn how to operate industrial laundry equipment, follow sanitation procedures, and support inventory management. These positions are often designed to provide hands-on experience in the laundry or hospitality industry, helping interns develop practical workplace skills and understand the workflow of commercial laundry services.

What does an internship laundry do?

During a Laundry Internship, you can expect to be involved in a variety of hands-on tasks, such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry items. You may also assist with inventory management, quality checks, and basic maintenance of laundry equipment. Interns often work closely with experienced staff, learning about commercial laundry processes, hygiene standards, and customer service. This role provides valuable exposure to the operational side of hospitality or healthcare facilities, offering a practical foundation for future roles in facility management or hospitality.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a laundry intern?

To thrive as a Laundry Intern, you need attention to detail, basic knowledge of cleaning processes, and reliability, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment, detergents, and possibly inventory tracking systems is helpful. Strong time management, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are important soft skills in this role. These skills ensure efficient operations, high standards of cleanliness, and smooth collaboration within the laundry team.

What is the difference between Internship Laundry vs Laundry Attendant?

About Great Clips

Sourced by ZipRecruiter

Great Clips, Inc. was established in Minneapolis, Minnesota by founders David Rubenzer and Steve Lemmon in 1982, a time when most people received haircuts in one of three ways: in full-service hair salons, from barbershops or at home. As a stylist and businessman, David could see that the industry was changing. Customers were looking for a hair salon service that could fit their busy lifestyles and desire for value. To be part of that change – rather than find themselves competing with it – David and Steve developed the then-radical concept of a walk-in haircare salon with weekend and evening hours, offering customers a select list of services, and providing benefits for stylists. After the founders opened several successful hair salons, Ray Barton joined David and Steve as an owner in March 1983. With Ray's help and expertise in franchising, the trio set about growing the Great Clips hair salon brand. That success continues through today.
