• Conduct initial assessments and formulate comprehensive treatment plans for each client, monitoring their progress over time.
• Provide brief individual therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients within the Functional Recovery Program (FRP), adapting approaches as necessary.
• Leverage best practices in the field of pain psychology when interacting with clients experiencing chronic pain or trauma, helping them to navigate their emotional challenges and improve their overall well-being.
• Develop strong rapport with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated approach to care.
• Uphold an exceptional standard of care, using sound judgment and ethical practices in all interactions.

Your primary focus will be on individuals, couples, children, and families, including those dealing with chronic pain, trauma, and other significant life transitions. As you engage with this diverse client population, you'll be expected to create personalized therapeutic interventions that address emotional, relational, and behavioral issues. Your role will be instrumental in guiding clients through difficult experiences and helping them develop effective coping strategies.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• A valid LMFT licensure is mandatory for this role.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services, particularly within a health-related setting, is essential.
• Knowledge of privacy, health, and safety laws is critical to uphold patient confidentiality and ethical practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, which facilitate counseling and advising roles.

• Experience working with a chronic pain or trauma population is highly valuable.
• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques and methodologies for integrated care will enhance your effectiveness.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain clear and accessible patient files, ensuring quality care delivery and compliance with documentation standards.
• Coaching and analytical problem-solving skills are preferred to develop effective, personalized treatment strategies.
