DESCRIPTION
TheBranchOut team is a small group where everyone is part of the creative process.The ideal candidate is creative yet pragmatic, comfortable multitasking yetable to focus on a problem with laser-like intensity, and (above all) a fastlearner. Our codebase is written in Java, but we're not really lookingfor heavy J2EE expertise. A few years experience with high-trafficweb-development patterns is much more important, regardless of the stack. Youmay, however, be asked to provide a code sample in Java.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Integrating features with various third-party APIs, including Facebook Graph API
  • Designing custom search functionality with Lucene
  • Working closely with product design and front end UI to perfect user experience and reduce friction
  • Brainstorming new features and product directions (if you work at BranchOut, your input is valued, no matter what your job title is)
  • Improving in-house analytics tools and merging performance metrics from a variety of sources
  • Develop overall strategies and implement scaling solutions

REQUIREMENTS
  • Java, J2EE Expertise.
  • 5+ years development experience, preferably working with high-traffic web-development
  • patterns or on the Facebook platform.
  • BS degree in computer science or related field
