Job description

THE POSITION The Infrastructure and Economic Development (IED) Delivery Center invites you to step into the role of Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1 in the Enterprise Technology Services Office to help shape the technology that keeps our operations moving. This position gives you a chance to guide vital IT work across the district while supporting teams that rely on dependable systems every day. Your leadership will make a real difference as you help staff stay connected and productive.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Within this role, you will be leading districtwide information technology (IT) efforts and ensuring staff have the tools and support they need to carry out their work. This position guides planning, coordination, and problem solving across a variety of IT functions.

As an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties: IT Coordination: Serve as the main link between district offices and technology teams to guide and support daily IT operations Staff Leadership: Oversee IT staff performance, schedules, and development to maintain strong service across all areas System Oversight: Manage hardware, software, and network activities to keep district systems secure and functioning Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, automate tasks, and strengthen technology use throughout the district Technical Support: Respond to major incidents and troubleshoot system issues to maintain continuity of operations Interested in learning more. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the probationary period. You will be required to report in-office 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dunmore. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
