Position Overview
Mercy House Adult & Teen Challenge is seeking an experienced, licensed mental health professional to establish, lead, and grow our counseling department.
This newly created leadership position will initially focus on developing counseling services for our 90-bed men's residential recovery campus while creating the framework for future expansion into our growing women's recovery program.
The ideal candidate is not simply looking for a counseling position but is excited by the opportunity to build, lead, and expand a counseling department that will serve men, women, and families across our recovery ministry for years to come.
The Director of Counseling will provide direct counseling services, establish clinical standards and systems, supervise counseling interns and practicum students, develop university partnerships, and help create a sustainable counseling model that supports long-term recovery, emotional wellness, family restoration, and personal transformation.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine professional clinical excellence with meaningful ministry while helping shape the future of one of Mississippi's leading faith-based residential recovery programs.

We are seeking a seasoned clinician and leader who is passionate about helping individuals and families experience lasting transformation.
The ideal candidate will possess the clinical expertise to provide high-quality counseling services while also having the leadership ability to develop systems, supervise interns, mentor future counselors, and build a counseling department capable of serving Mercy House for years to come.
This position is best suited for an experienced LPC-S, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or similar licensed professional who desires to combine professional excellence with meaningful ministry and long-term organizational impact.
Benefits
Compensation
$100,000+ annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, licensure, and demonstrated leadership ability.
Relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
