  • Resolve transportation issues by working directly with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Track shipment exceptions and coordinate corrective actions.

Freight Management

  • Audit freight invoices for accuracy prior to payment.
  • Review freight charges and investigate billing discrepancies.
  • Assist in identifying transportation cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support carrier performance monitoring and reporting.

Inventory & Supply Chain

  • Assist with inventory balancing across warehouse locations.
  • Monitor inventory movement and identify opportunities to improve inventory availability.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure product availability and efficient replenishment.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives.

Vendor & Carrier Relations

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with transportation providers and supply chain partners.
  • Communicate with carriers, warehouses, and vendors regarding shipment status, scheduling, and issue resolution.
  • Assist in evaluating carrier performance and service levels.

  • Perform other supply chain-related duties as assigned.

A successful Supply Chain Specialist will:

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Take ownership of transportation and inventory issues through resolution.
