Job description

Position Summary

Medaltus and Ozlee Brands are seeking a broadly capable, analytical, and adaptable Inventory & Supply Chain Specialist to oversee inventory planning, purchasing, supply-chain coordination, and fulfillment readiness across both businesses. While these functional skills are important, even more important is a willingness to take on whatever problems and opportunities arise across the businesses-with curiosity, adaptability, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of ownership.

This role will manage inventory for Medaltus's resale and service-model brand partners while coordinating the end-to-end supply chain for Ozlee Brands' Skinuva and eraclea product lines.

The Specialist will have meaningful day-to-day ownership of forecasting, purchasing, inventory placement, launch readiness, and follow-through. Within agreed priorities and escalation thresholds, this person is expected to make sound recommendations, drive routine decisions forward, and raise material risks promptly. The role reports to CEO Josh Carter for Ozlee Brands responsibilities and COO Ashley Wilcox for Medaltus responsibilities.

Success requires more than technical inventory knowledge. The right person will understand how inventory decisions affect customers, brand partners, sales, cash flow, manufacturing, and fulfillment. They will bring energy and ownership, communicate clearly, collaborate without ego, and use technology and data to improve how the businesses operate.

Key ResponsibilitiesMedaltus Inventory Management

Forecast inventory needs and place purchase orders for brands resold through Amazon, Walmart, Target Plus, Shopify, and other sales channels.

Monitor inventory levels, sales velocity, lead times, and stock coverage by product, channel, and location.

Manage inventory requirements for brand partners operating under both resale and service models.

Coordinate replenishment timing with brand partners, warehouses, fulfillment networks, and internal teams.

Anticipate and address potential stockouts, excess inventory, aging inventory, and inventory discrepancies.

Communicate inventory risks, recommendations, and required actions clearly to internal teams and brand partners.

Ozlee Brands Supply Chain

Coordinate the end-to-end supply chain for Skinuva and eraclea products.

Forecast and order finished goods, packaging, components, and other production materials.

Manage purchase orders and track vendor lead times, minimum order quantities, production schedules, and delivery dates.

Coordinate with contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders.

Coordinate packaging and artwork changes with relevant team members and suppliers; maintain an organized record of current, approved artwork and specifications; and ensure the approved versions are communicated and implemented.

Own supply-chain readiness for new products, including production timing, initial purchase orders, inventory arrival, packaging or assembly requirements, and fulfillment readiness before launch.

Consider manufacturing and purchasing costs-including minimum order quantities, production-run economics, supplier capabilities, and ingredient or process constraints-when making purchasing and inventory recommendations.

Ensure components and finished goods are available to support sales forecasts, promotions, product launches, and distributor needs.

Maintain clear visibility into open purchase orders, production status, inbound shipments, and expected inventory availability.

Understand the basic manufacturing and assembly processes behind each product and use that knowledge to anticipate constraints and prevent delays.

Inventory Allocation and Fulfillment

Allocate and rebalance inventory across internal warehouses, third-party logistics providers, Amazon FBA, Walmart Fulfillment Services, and other fulfillment networks.

Determine appropriate inventory placement based on sales velocity, channel demand, replenishment lead times, storage costs, capacity, and marketplace requirements.

Coordinate inventory transfers and replenishment shipments to maintain product availability without creating excess inventory at any location.

Monitor fulfillment-network requirements and proactively respond to potential understocking or overstocking.

Consider both the customer experience and the financial impact when making inventory-allocation decisions.

International Distribution, Kitting, and Bundles

Coordinate inventory, packaging, and labeling requirements for international distributors, including country- and distributor-specific product configurations.

Plan and manage domestic and international kits and bundles for Skinuva and eraclea.

Ensure adequate availability of finished products, packaging, inserts, and other components required for assembly.

Coordinate assembly schedules and requirements with internal teams, warehouses, contract manufacturers, and third-party fulfillment partners.

Maintain accurate inventory records for kit and bundle components and completed units.

Ensure kits, bundles, and specialized packaging are assembled accurately and available on schedule.

Systems and Process Improvement

Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, replenishment, packaging, and approved-artwork records across relevant systems.

Use inventory-management software, spreadsheets, and other technology to improve forecasting, visibility, and decision-making.

Identify opportunities to automate manual work, reduce errors, and improve the flow of inventory information across the businesses.

Develop practical reports and processes that help stakeholders understand inventory status, risks, costs, and required decisions.

Partner with finance to support accurate inventory accounting and valuation, including FIFO-based inventory practices.

The Person Who Will Thrive in This Role

Broadly smart and commercially minded: Able to connect inventory decisions with finance, sales, operations, manufacturing, fulfillment, and customer needs rather than thinking narrowly within one function.

Adaptable: Comfortable navigating changing priorities, imperfect information, vendor issues, and evolving business requirements.

Tech-forward: Interested in using software, automation, and improved systems to make the operation more accurate and efficient.

Customer-focused: Considers the needs of brand partners, distributors, sales channels, and end customers when making decisions.

Low-ego and collaborative: Willing to take ownership, accept feedback, solve problems, and work across functions regardless of hierarchy.

Energetic and proactive: Anticipates issues, follows through, and acts with an appropriate sense of urgency.

A strong communicator: Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience and Capabilities

Approximately 4-6 years of relevant experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply-chain operations, or a related role.

Competency with inventory-management software and related business systems.

Strong spreadsheet, analytical, forecasting, and organizational skills.

Basic accounting knowledge, including inventory valuation concepts such as FIFO.

Understanding of basic manufacturing, packaging, production, and assembly processes.

Experience managing purchase orders, vendors, lead times, production schedules, and multiple inventory locations.

Ability to manage multiple brands, products, partners, and deadlines simultaneously.

Familiarity with e-commerce marketplaces, Amazon FBA, Walmart Fulfillment Services, and physical consumer products is preferred.

Experience in skincare, beauty, wellness, or another consumer-products category is beneficial but not required.

How We Measure Success

Maintain appropriate inventory quantities and distribution across internal and partner warehouses, balancing product availability with storage costs, working-capital requirements, and excess inventory risk.

Meet channel-specific inventory requirements, particularly Amazon FBA and Walmart Fulfillment Services expectations regarding understocking and overstocking.

Reduce stockouts, excess and aging inventory, expedited-order costs, storage fees, and inventory-related penalties.

Maintain accurate and timely demand forecasts, purchase orders, production plans, and replenishment schedules.

Provide clear visibility into inventory levels, sales velocity, lead times, open orders, inbound shipments, manufacturing costs, and expected availability.

Prepare new products for launch on schedule, with first purchase orders placed, inventory arriving as planned, and packaging, assembly, and fulfillment requirements ready.

Maintain organized, current packaging and artwork records and ensure suppliers implement the approved versions accurately.

Make purchasing recommendations that appropriately balance service levels, manufacturing and landed costs, minimum order quantities, cash use, and inventory risk.

Ensure international packaging, domestic and international kits, and bundles are completed accurately and on schedule.

Improve inventory systems and processes through appropriate use of technology, automation, and standardized reporting.

Coordinate effectively among vendors, manufacturers, warehouses, fulfillment partners, brand partners, and internal teams.

Support a strong customer experience by ensuring the right products are available in the right places at the right times.
