- Support daily U.S. import customs clearance activities in compliance with CBP regulations and company trade compliance policies.
- Review shipping documentation and entry data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders regarding shipment documentation and customs clearance status.
- Monitor import shipments and assist in resolving routine customs or logistics issues.
- Support maintenance of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) inventory records and compliance documentation.
- Perform ERP and FTZ system data entry and verification to support accurate material tracking and reporting.
- Maintain import compliance records, including HTS classification, country of origin, valuation data, and entry documentation.
- Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to support efficient material flow and customs compliance.
Qualifications:
- 0+ years of experience in customs compliance, logistics, supply chain, or a related field (internship or co-op experience preferred).
- Basic understanding of international shipping, import documentation, or trade compliance processes preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or logistics systems preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to resolve abnormalities in import operations and coordinate with global partners and logistics providers.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import documentation requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
