Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Manager, Resource Modelling to join our team. The successful candidate will drive best-practice modeling and estimation workflows in partnership with regional subject matter experts, and ensure block models, estimation methodologies, and classification approaches meet corporate standards that are defensible for technical reporting and disclosure.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive our Zero Harm culture and provide overall leadership and support of our DNA, utilizing every possible opportunity to demonstrate alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards for resource estimates and classification.
  • Support compliant technical disclosure under NI43-101 and S-K 1300 regulatory guidelines and contribute to Technical Reports as required.
  • Evaluate grade estimation methodologies, search strategies, and interpolation approaches used in Resource estimation.
  • Review the application of classification criteria and drill spacing assumptions used to support Resource confidence categories
  • Work with site geology teams to provide feedback on geological interpretations and domaining strategies to support robust resource estimates and exploration upside models.
  • Perform drillhole spacing studies to inform resource conversion programs in new growth areas.
  • Perform conditional simulation studies to assess resource uncertainty and estimation reliability.
  • Identify geological and estimation risks that may impact Resource confidence, model robustness, or future Reserve conversion.
  • Drive continuous improvement towards best-practice modeling and resource estimation workflows.
  • Ensure integration of geology → metallurgy → mine planning and exploration ↔ mine geology
  • Deliver monthly reports tracking key modeling priorities that are value-add to the business, track project progression, critical milestones, risks and opportunities, other as required
  • Deliver regular training to site teams on estimation and model validation workflows aligned to our corporate standards.
  • Coach and mentor site-level SMEs and technical teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field; or Bachelor of Science degree with equivalent experience required
  • Over eight (8) years' experience in geostatistics or resource modeling roles required
  • Expert knowledge in practical resource estimation with a strong geostatistical foundation required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of RMSP, Leapfrog, and acQuire required, experience in Deswik, and Datamine suites preferred
  • Eligible to be a Qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 required
  • Basic knowledge of mineral processing and extraction methods preferred
  • Ability to work within a team environment and excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required Ability to work with minimum supervision required
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
