Job Description

 Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to join one of our education clients in Columbus, Ohio. This individual will support students with diverse learning needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), providing specialized instruction, and collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success. The ideal candidate is passionate about special education, experienced in developing and implementing student support strategies, and committed to helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral growth in an inclusive educational environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.

 • Provide direct instruction through small-group and one-on-one learning sessions.

• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet students' diverse learning needs.

 • Track academic and behavioral progress through data collection, progress monitoring, and reporting.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student achievement.

• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including IEP, ETR, and MTSS meetings.

• Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and utilize positive behavior support strategies.

 • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.

• Support students in developing independence, self-advocacy skills, and social-emotional growth.

 • Utilize data-driven decision-making to adjust instructional strategies and improve student outcomes.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License, or ability to obtain licensure before start date.

• Previous experience in a K-12 special education setting.

 • Experience writing and managing IEPs, progress monitoring, and special education documentation.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and support staff.

• Knowledge of special education best practices and applicable federal and state regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with students with low-incidence disabilities.

 • Experience participating in ETR meetings and evaluations.

 • Familiarity with Ohio Extended Learning Standards.

• Experience working alongside paraprofessionals.

• Experience utilizing Same Goal or similar special education management software.

• Strong behavioral intervention and classroom management experience.
