Description:

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will work collaboratively with both the production and quality team refining the current products. This position will develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes for materials and machinery we have on the manufacturing floor.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment

· Contribute to the development of internal processes to improve and standardize material evaluation, implementation & qualification

· Identify and resolve production issues, conduct failure analysis to determine root causes within a machine shop and cast molding environment

· Delivery on both internal development projects and external customer driven projects

· Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment

· Create and maintain process instructions to meet production needs

· Provide support to the manufacturing team resolving process disruptions, changes, and training of team members

· Develop and implement continuous improvement projects geared towards reducing waste & operating costs

· Assist with maintaining department records to comply with ISO requirements

· Assist in the achievement of KPI targets

· Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Required Skills & Abilities

· Must be able to speak, read & write in the English language

· Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and drawings with knowledge of GD&T

· Experience with vision systems, robotics, and PLCs is a plus

· Ability to design and model in 3D CAD software (Solidworks)

· Microsoft Office Suite

· Detail oriented

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong people & problem-solving skills


Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs independently

· Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Education/ Experience

· High School diploma/GED

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

· 3+ years’ experience in materials and process engineering

· Experience in a Lean Manufacturing methodologies and environment


Other:

· Salary (exempt) position – $75,000 - $90,000/yr

· Must be able to work extended hours as needed, not subject to overtime pay
