Job Description
  • Packaging, labeling, and handling of product and movement to specified locations.

  • Perform limited product visual and Manual inspections.

  • Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all products produced in the department, as well as all product quality specifications.

  • Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and comply with good manufacturing practices requirements.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a team with limited supervision.

  • Understand and interpret controlled documents including work Instructions, procedures, and inspection forms.

  • Notify CILL, and DMT II's of any equipment issues.

  • Work with molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and callouts.

  • Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 6-12 months previous professional work experience (in a related or unrelated field) required, manufacturing experience a plus.

  • Prefer, but not limited to 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic).

  • This position is in a manufacturing environment and the physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to optimally perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Employees may be frequently required to perform the following physical duties:

  • Stand and/or occasionally sit for extended periods of time.

  • Bending, stooping and reaching.

  • Walking, kneeling, balancing, crouching, pushing/pulling, repetitive grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers.

  • Lifting requirements: may occasionally be required to lift up to 20 lbs, frequently lift up to 10 lbs, occasionally pulling/pushing up to 30 lbs, frequently pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs, frequently carry up to 5 lbs.

  • Almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, and potential temperature fluctuations.
