Injection Molding Process Technician
Position Summary
The Injection Molding Process Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving molding process issues, including material flow, temperature control, and cycle times. This position verifies the correct setup of molds, materials, processes, and auxiliary equipment prior to machine startup to ensure part conformity and high-quality production standards are met.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in plastic injection molding processes and mold setup.

Starting Pay - $27 hourly
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and troubleshoot process parameters and production standards on plastic injection molding machines
  • Identify and correct issues affecting product quality, scrap levels, and cycle times
  • Start up, process, and shut down injection molding equipment and production lines
  • Assist with pulling and setting injection molds
  • Support preventative maintenance activities for molding machines and robotics
  • Conduct mold and auxiliary equipment repairs as needed
  • Clean molds and remove grease, oil, and water buildup to maintain safe and efficient operation
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to resolve tooling and equipment concerns
  • Mix raw materials for injection molding systems as required
  • Assist on the production floor based on operational needs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and operational standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Plant Management

Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Injection Molding Certification preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in plastic injection molding
  • Proven experience setting and pulling molds
  • Experience operating tow motors and overhead cranes
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license required

Must Be Able To:
  • Stand, walk, bend, stretch, and climb for up to 12-hour shifts
  • Perform tooling functions requiring strong manual dexterity and physical ability
  • Visually inspect machines, tools, materials, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Lift up to 50 lbs independently and heavier weights with assistance
  • Read and understand written instructions and accurately document quality concerns
  • Communicate professionally and work effectively in a team environment
  • Multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Maintain strong attention to detail with a high sense of urgency
  • Work rotating schedules and weekends as needed
