The Injection Molding Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including start-up, shut down and troubleshooting of the injection molding processes and related equipment. The specialist will ensure that the necessary adjustments are made to the equipment, so that the processes run efficiently. 

Work Schedule:

Monday - Wednesday : 7:00pm - 7:00am
Thursday: 7:00pm-1:00am


  • Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process, including, but not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and workflow. 
  • Work with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements and make adjustments as needed.
  • Provide molded components in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met 
  • Generate documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility. 
  • Follow established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment. 
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.  
  • Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems and connections between the Mold/Tool and the machines.  
  • Analyze, install, test, and review machine settings to increase operating efficiency. 
  • Draft and perform mold validations. 
  • Complete required paperwork - routing/setup sheet, time sheet etc. 
  • Confer with Production Manager, area leaders, programmers, engineers, or others to resolve molding or assembly issues. 
  • Input and/or retrieve the correct program code from the machine and network. 
  • Other assignments as requested. 

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in injection molding 
  • Excellent organizational skills.  
  • Good oral and written communication. 
  • Experience with Process Control Documentation  
  • Basic knowledge of computers including MS office, Email, etc. 
  • Understanding of IM codes and command of the machine 
  • Ability to develop setting sheets and setting parameters for current and new products 
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Ranger Robot Program a plus 
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to frequently move, transport, and position equipment

Hourly Range: $ 20.68 -$30.17
