We’re seeking an experienced and results‑driven Injection Molding Process Engineer to join an ever-growing leader in the plastic packaging technology and injection molding industry. In this role, you will oversee and optimize molding operations for high-precision plastic components, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across all production processes.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily injection molding operations to ensure consistent production of high‑quality plastic parts.
  • Develop, document, and optimize molding processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and maintain product standards.
  • Troubleshoot molding machines, tooling, and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in production, engineering, and maintenance to support new product launches and process improvements.
  • Train and mentor operators and technicians on machine setup, process adjustments, and safety practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of process parameters, equipment performance, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in injection molding operations, process engineering, or plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of thermoplastics and molding principles, including material properties, shrinkage, and flow behavior.
  • Proficiency with molding machines, tooling, and auxiliary equipment such as dryers, chillers, and robots.
  • Experience in process optimization techniques (DOE, SPC, Six Sigma, or similar).
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and train operators.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation of process parameters, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
