Must have Injection Molding experience

A growing custom plastic injection molder in Newton Falls, Ohio is seeking an Experienced Project Engineer to lead complex, multi-phase product launches across a diverse customer base including automotive, appliance, industrial, solar, consumer and electronics markets. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a high-mix, fast-paced environment seeking broad decision making ownership with internal and external visibility.

Position Overview

· End-to-end ownership of new product launches from concept through production

· Technical leadership, customer interface, tooling strategy, and execution

· Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality expectations

Key Responsibilities

· Lead full lifecycle program management for new product launches

· Serve as primary technical interface with customers and vendors

· Own and drive APQP processes through PPAP approval

· Develop and manage project timelines, budgets and customer reports

· Lead tooling design, mold construction, and validation activities

· Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues

· Identify risks early and drive proactive solutions

· Support quoting, design for manufacturability, and feasibility reviews

· Travel to customer and supplier sites as needed

· Support cost reduction activities using latest technologies and automation

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or related)

· 7+ years engineering experience, including 5+ in plastic injection molding

· Experience managing complex tooling and product launches

· Strong knowledge of APQP and PPAP

· Experience with mold design, build, sampling and validation

· Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar parametric modeling platform

· Experience with ERP/MRP systems (IQMS preferred)

· Strong Microsoft Office skills
