Our Support Center team partners with community leaders in operations, finance, human resources, clinical services, marketing, and business development to improve the lives of seniors every day.

Position Summary

ALG Senior is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to join our Finance team through the Military Career Skills Program (SkillBridge/CSP).

This internship provides active-duty service members with hands-on experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, operational reporting, and investment analysis while working alongside experienced finance professionals.

Interns will contribute to meaningful projects supporting more than 130 senior living communities across the Southeast while developing the skills needed for a successful civilian finance career.

This internship is for active-duty military members participating in an approved Military Career Skills Program (SkillBridge/CSP). Participants remain on active-duty pay and benefits during the internship.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, income statements, and operational reports.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.

  • Build and maintain financial models using Microsoft Excel.

  • Analyze financial performance and identify operational trends.

  • Assist with ROI analyses for capital improvement projects.

  • Support facility valuation, capital stack analysis, and Sources & Uses documentation.

  • Pull, validate, and reconcile financial data from Yardi Voyager and internal reporting systems.

  • Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership on strategic initiatives.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

QualificationsRequired
  • Active-duty military member eligible for an approved Military Career Skills Program (SkillBridge/CSP).

  • Transitioning from military service within 120 days.

  • Background in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related military occupational specialty.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and basic financial modeling.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.

  • Experience with ERP or accounting software.

  • Familiarity with Yardi Voyager, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems.
