Job Description:

Dimensional Fund Advisors is seeking undergrad or graduate level students actively pursuing a degree to join our 2027 summer internship program. This nine-week program will be fully in-person and expose interns to the day-to-day activities of an Analyst in Global Client Group's Operations department.

The GCG Operations Intern (Client Reporting) will support initiatives and projects that are critical to the firm's clients ongoing reporting requirements, as well as assisting the GCG in their business development opportunities. The internship will provide exposure to a variety of teams and their projects. The daily work will involve leveraging internal and third party data to build, maintain and strengthen our global client relationships by providing broad suite of highly customized reports along with a suite of standardized solutions. These reports include due diligence questionnaires, reconciliations, requests for information, and client review questionnaires to meet our clients reoccurring reporting needs.

The role falls within the GCG (Global Client Group) Sales Operations group, which supports the day-to-day operational needs of the sales group in the areas of business insights, product management, intermediary relationships, client onboarding, reporting and administrative services.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively complete day-to-day responsibilities and tasks largely based on direction and support received from others.
  • Provide quality control for client reports, requests, and support day-to-day activities.
  • Database maintenance and compilation of business statistics.
  • Proactively communicate needs, challenges, and capacity
  • Develop a robust understanding of Dimensional's investment philosophy and process
  • Basic understanding of underlying systems used to generate standard reporting
  • Seek opportunities for professional development
  • Effectively communicate project activities, presenting in small forums and team meetings

Qualifications

  • Minimum GPA of 3.2; pursuing an undergraduate or specialized Master's degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 - June 2028
  • Coursework in information systems, computer science, or finance/accounting is preferred
  • Documented analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to gather requirements amid ambiguity
  • Interpersonal communication, verbal, and written skills
  • Work equally well in a team environment and independently
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented - ability to apply analytical and decision-making skills in a collaborative environment
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and general computer skills with the ability to learn additional computer applications as needed
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
