What You'll Do

Interns will support day-to-day operations of LaAmistad's afterschool and family programs. You'll receive valuable mentorship, gain practical skills, and work in a mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Support teaching staff and volunteers during afterschool programming for K-12 students
  • Assist in developing and delivering instructional activities and materials
  • Help translate communication for families in English and Spanish
  • Support parent engagement efforts and school-home communication
  • Collect, enter, and organize program data
  • Prepare program materials and assist with outreach or event planning
  • Respond to inquiries from students, parents, or staff
  • Participate in staff meetings or trainings as appropriate
  • Perform other duties based on your skills, goals, and site needs

Note:
Physical mobility is required to walk campuses, carry up to 30 lbs., push carts, and navigate stairs.
