Position Overview

AMM Ascend Sports Group is seeking a motivated and organized Sports Marketing & Operations Intern to support the growth of our new athlete development and sports management company. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone interested in sports business, marketing, sponsorships, and event operations.

You will work closely with the founder on real-world projects, including social media outreach, sponsorship development, event coordination, and general business operations. This is a hybrid position with a mix of remote work and occasional in-person meetings or event support in the Lakes Region.

This role offers meaningful experience in sports marketing, business development, and operations — with direct exposure to building a sports company from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with social media outreach and content support (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Research and help develop sponsorship opportunities (cold outreach, follow-up calls, proposal support)
  • Make phone calls and follow-ups with potential sponsors, schools, coaches, and partners
  • Support planning and logistics for the July 18 Official Launch Event
  • Help maintain and update contact lists (media, schools, sponsors, coaches)
  • Conduct basic market research (competitors, potential partners, media contacts)
  • Assist with general administrative and operational tasks as needed
What You’ll Gain
  • Hands-on experience in sports marketing, sponsorship development, and business operations
  • Direct mentorship from the founder of a growing sports company
  • Exposure to event planning, outreach strategy, and relationship building
  • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a real business in its early stages
  • Flexible hybrid schedule (remote + occasional in-person)
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable making phone calls and doing outreach
  • Interest in sports, marketing, business development, or event management
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and social media platforms
  • Must be available for occasional in-person work in the Wolfeboro/Laconia area

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with Canva, Instagram, or LinkedIn
  • Background in sports, coaching, or athletic administration
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field
Compensation

This is currently an unpaid internship/volunteer position. However, we are open to discussing academic credit, a small stipend, or future paid opportunities based on performance and company growth.
