This individual will work directly with the executive team and help build more efficient, scalable approaches to financial and sales analytics by identifying opportunities for automation, improving existing workflows, and contributing to the development of standardized reporting processes.
This is a paid summer internship open to students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field who have a genuine interest in AI. We are looking for someone who is excited by problem solving, interested in improving business processes, and eager to explore how emerging technologies can enhance reporting and decision-making across finance and sales functions.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting โ€“ AI-Assisted Automation
  • Identify and support the automation of recurring finance and accounting workflows using AI tools, including monthly close reporting and management reporting packages.
  • Evaluate and refine AI tool outputs across platforms to assess accuracy, consistency, and usefulness for financial reporting purposes.
  • Help develop a standardized approach to using AI tools for reporting tasks, ensuring outputs are consistent and repeatable.
  • Document best practices and guidelines for using AI tools in financial workflows.
  • Support the Finance team in identifying repetitive, time-intensive reporting tasks that are strong candidates for AI-assisted automation.
Sales Operations & Revenue Analytics
  • Support the Sales Operations team in analyzing pipeline and revenue data to identify trends and performance drivers.
  • Assist in building and maintaining sales performance reports, including dashboards tracking key KPIs such as conversion rates, deal velocity, and revenue growth.
  • Help automate recurring sales reporting processes using AI tools and Excel.
  • Partner with Sales and Finance teams to ensure alignment between revenue tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Process Documentation & Collaboration
  • Document current-state finance and sales workflows to identify opportunities where AI prompting can reduce manual effort and improve output quality.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales team members to gather requirements and validate that developed prompts meet practical, day-to-day reporting needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of a centralized library of AI prompts and workflows for both finance and sales use cases.
Final Project โ€“ Executive Dashboard & Analytics
  • Design and deliver a Finance & Sales Executive Dashboard that integrates key financial and sales performance metrics.
  • Build automated reporting outputs that provide insights into revenue, profitability and pipeline health.
ย
What Weโ€™re Looking For
Required
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Completed coursework in financial accounting, managerial accounting, corporate finance, or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with financial formulas, data organization, and basic analysis.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document processes and instructions.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a defined project from initiation through delivery within a summer timeline.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and approaches tasks proactively.
  • Curiosity and genuine interest in applying AI to real-world finance and business problems.
  • Ability to own a project end-to-end with strong organizational discipline.
Preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence through coursework, independent projects, extracurricular involvement, or professional exposure.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms, and an interest in their application in a business context.
  • Prior experimentation with AI tools in an academic or professional setting.
  • Experience with financial reporting or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct).
  • Exposure to CRM or sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
