The Department of Economics and Finance is part of the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) and offers a major in finance and minors in economics and FinTech. The Department resides in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB), an AACSB-accredited college of business that offers programs on five campuses in the North Georgia region. The department has a growing enrollment and a collaborative, energetic faculty engaged in quality research and with a strong focus on high-quality teaching and student engagement.
Job Summary
The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a part-time faculty position in finance in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB).

Responsibilities
  • The most likely teaching schedule for this position will be sections of Principles of Finance (FINC 3440) or Financial Institutions (FINC 4430) on the Gainesville campus.
  • Teaching other courses and/or on other campuses may be possible.
  • Use of innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high-quality learning experiences for our students is expected.

Required Qualifications
  • A master's degree in finance or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in finance or a commensurate level of professional experience in the finance industry.
  • A successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to engage students in the learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or DBA in finance or a closely related field or ABD in finance program.
