What is an internship in a bank?

An internship in a bank is a temporary position that allows students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in the banking industry. Interns typically work under the supervision of experienced professionals and may assist with tasks such as customer service, data entry, financial analysis, or administrative duties. The goal of a bank internship is to provide hands-on learning opportunities, enhance professional skills, and help interns explore potential career paths in finance or banking. Internships can last from a few weeks to several months, depending on the bank and program. Successful completion of an internship may also increase the chances of securing a full-time job in the banking sector.
