About Gray Matter Logic

At Gray Matter Logic we are reinventing IT consulting to bring more value to our customers through using the latest in cutting-edge technology. Consulting services delivery is changing rapidly, and we have been working on this transformation from the beginning.

We have made the switch to become an AI-first organization to bring leadership to an industry that has needed a refresh. Consultants at Gray Matter Logic are expected to bring vision and ambition to AI-enabled consulting delivery.

About the Role

As a Financial Consultant, you will start your consulting career where finance meets technology. You will help clients implement ERP solutions that reshape how their accounting and financial operations run. You will work alongside senior consultants, Gray Matter Logic teammates, and customer accounting leaders to design, build, and adopt accounting and financial models that hold up in the real world.

This is an entry-level position built for ambitious graduates who want to grow beyond traditional accounting and into client-facing, AI-enabled consulting. From day one, you will learn how to think structurally, communicate decisively, and collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of accounting workflows so that system configurations align with financial best practices.
  • Document requirements, map processes, and prepare detailed diagrams that guide successful implementation.
  • Test ERP financial modules to validate accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support change management by training client staff on new workflows and helping them adopt ERP-driven processes.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to Gray Matter Logic project teams and client executives.
  • Build your consulting skills through exposure to executive decision-making, structured analysis, and direct client collaboration.

What We Look For

  • Structured and organized. You break accounting processes into clear, actionable steps that fit ERP models.
  • Collaborative and communicative. You work well with internal teammates and client executives, and you keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Resilient and adaptable. You handle demanding schedules, shifting priorities, and client-facing challenges with composure.
  • Ambitious and driven. You see this role as the first step in a consulting career and you want to take on more.
  • A solid technical foundation in accounting principles and strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Integrity and professionalism in every interaction.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • Internship or early professional experience in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; exposure to ERP or financial software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and accountability.

Location

This role is based in our Chandler, AZ office. We strongly prefer candidates who can work on-site, where in-person collaboration with our team consistently produces the best results for our customers. Fully remote arrangements are considered only in limited circumstances and are not the default for this position.
