Job Summary:

Intern I: Students enrolled in the first year of an RT program are encouraged to apply for positions that begin Summer, 2026. Flexible scheduling available to support your academic success.

Performs basic duties to support the Respiratory Care Staff in accordance with the hospital's objectives, policies and procedures. The individual will have a mentor identified for resource and support. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Experience working in a patient care setting (hospital, nursing home) is preferred. Inventory/stocking experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program is required. Student will remain in good standing. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Equipment processing and cleaning training.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Organization/Time management. Good communication skills.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
