Position Overview
Global Guardian's Asset Security Division is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the Security Operations Center Monitoring Operator role to join our fast-paced Charlotte, NC office. The Monitoring Operator will cross train in Video Monitoring, Intrusion Detection, and False Alarms (FA). We are looking for a team member who is extremely efficient and wants to grow with us. This is an entry-level position located in-person in Charlotte, NC.
Job Responsibilities
  • Function as a point of contact for monitoring assets and performing security protocols
  • Respond to events and alarms through Video Monitoring, Intrusion Detection, and False Alarms (FA)
  • Act on security alerts, including dispatch of local authorities when necessary
  • Able to handle life-saving situations utilizing event driven Artificial Intelligence
  • Conduct online site guard tours and immediate response to panic alarms
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of, and adherence to, site protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of all incidents and prepare incident reports for any events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience / Requirements
  • Entry-level position
  • 0-3 years' experience in the security industry preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other corporate team members and operational team members

Position Type and Schedule
  • Full-Time (FT), hourly, non-exempt position
  • Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 an hour
  • The Asset Monitoring Center runs 24/7
  • Hiring for 2nd shift (middle) and 3rd shift (night) - open availability needed
