Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with data structures and algorithms during coursework/projects, research, internships, or practical experience in school or work (e.g. open-source coding).
  • Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C , Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience within AI/ML and Infrastructure technical domains through internships, research or independent exposure.
  • Ability to start in June 2027.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, coding languages, and concepts, and apply them to real-world challenges.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

About the Program
The AI Career Catalyst Program is an accelerated, full-time Software Engineering position within Google's AI and Infrastructure organization. The track offers a unique launchpad to gain a comprehensive, full-stack understanding of how a global technology ecosystem operates at scale-with exposure spanning from custom silicon in data centers to state-of-the-art models and enterprise agents.
Participants will join a cohort of peers and begin their full-time experience with an immersive, one-month onboarding before rotating through three high-impact projects within the AI and Infrastructure organization. Throughout these rotations, participants will receive continuous management support to guide onboarding, career development, and performance. For day-to-day work, participants will receive project assignments and regular one-on-one feedback from engineering leaders tailored to each specific rotation.
The experience combines true technical ownership with targeted mentorship. Upon successful completion of the 13-month onboarding and rotational period, participants transition directly into a long-term, full-time team placement within the AI and Infrastructure organization to continue their career.

  • Rotate across up to three AI and Infrastructure organizations, with potential opportunities to work from distinct US Google offices based on business and project needs.
  • Deliver on high-impact projects from day one, rapidly upskilling to contribute directly to core organizational and business goals.
  • Execute on key business initiatives while developing deep technical excellence, navigating highly ambiguous systems, and establishing a broad cross-organizational network.
